Background

The DIGICOM project WP3 led to a series of recommendations regarding standards for implementing Linked Open Data (LOD) in the ESS:

• an initial review of the relevant ontologies for expressing official statistics data and metadata as Linked Open Data was carried out as part of stocktaking exercice
• a reference architecture for LOD was designed and discussed with the ESS Enterprise Architure Board
• a soution architecture for the Linked Open Statistical Data (LOSD) Hub was developed by the Linked Open Statistics ESSnet.
