The DIGICOM initiative on outreach to data journalists comprised:
- A workshop inviting data journalists – both to present the offer of Eurostat to them, and to to express their needs, followed up by
- a workshop for ESS colleagues (active in the fields of dissemination and communication) to discuss the needs expressed by the data journalists.
This resulted in
- a network of nearly 100 data journalists, which have agreed to stay in touch with Eurostat, and to be contacted by Eurostat on relevant issues,
- a possible strategy for outreach to data journalists
