Introduction

Statistics Iceland and the University of Iceland collaborated on developing an open source statistical e-learning system which uses official statistics open data for personalised and
interactive training. 

The e-learning system is staged on the Statistics Iceland website.

The system is based on open source code shared on github: https://github.com/tutor-web/ and can be continuously enriched with new educational content from any NSI, instructors, students and other open data providers.

A paper about the product has been published on the NSM2019 web-site and another paper has been submitted to the journal of Teaching Statistics - An International Journal for Teachers https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/14679639
