The European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) is the main source for the compilation of statistics on income, social inclusion and living conditions.
EU-SILC is composed of two modules - cross-sectional and longitudinal - and is updated twice a year: in March and in October. Eurostat releases partially anonymised EU-SILC microdata for research purposes; these are called scientific use files.
