WP3 Smart meters
Workpackage 3 (WP3) of ESSnet Big Data focuses on smart meters, and more particularly on electricity meters which can be monitored continuously at a distance. Its objective is to demonstrate via pilot studies how they could be used for compiling statistics on energy consumption, but possibly also on housing, household expenditure, environmental impact and energy production. WP3 is carried out by representatives of four ESSnet Big Data partners: Statistics Austria (AT), Statistics Denmark (DK), Statistics Estonia (EE) and Statistics Sweden (SCB, SE).
