We are glad to announce the first call for abstracts of the Conference of European Statistics Stakeholders (CESS) 2022, which will be held at the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (Italy) on October 20-21, 2022. The scope of the Conference is to enhance the dialogue between European methodologists, producers, and users of European Statistics.

The conference will be in-presence, but we will allow at-distance attendance (preferably not for the speakers).

No registration fee will be required, but registration is mandatory for all participants (limited attendance – first come first served, with a preference for speakers).

To present a paper in the conference you need to submit an abstract after creating an account on Indico. The abstract must be up to 1 page long and the author must select at least one of the thematic areas of the conference (see the end of the message). The deadline for the abstract submission is April 30, 2022.

All CESS 2022 participants will also have the opportunity to submit their full paper for publication in:

1. Springer-Nature Series Studies in Theoretical and Applied Statistics which will contain selected papers of methodological and applied interest from the CESS 2022 conference.

2. ECB Statistics Paper Series which will contain selected papers of interest to central banks from the CESS 2022 conference. 

The deadline for the full paper submission is November 15, 2022.

The preliminary program will be announced by June 30, 2022. The final program will be announced by October 1, 2022.
