Abstract
Family Budget Survey (FBS) provides the information necessary to evaluate the population income, expenditure and consumption. Diversity of the survey topic allows to carry out deep analyses over the population and household economic and social situation. Collected information also allows to identify the households and disfavored persons, to build up some adequate programs of social protection.
The survey answers thus the priority needs of users information in social field, providing the necessary elements for the analysis of ways and possibilities to improve the population life quality in Romania.
