Target Group

The training session is aimed at Eurostat and national professionals who would like to access Eurostat’s statistical classifications, correspondence tables or metadata catalogues.

Objectives

To show participants how they can use the ShowVoc platform to:

• Search, browse and download statistical classifications;
• Search, browse and download correspondence tables;
• Query classification​s using the SPARQL endpoint that enables to extract and download the data based on reusable query templates.

Contents

The course will cover the information and functionalities available to users and will include:

• The purpose of the ShowVoc platform;
• An overview of relevant Linked Open Data ontologies and standards;
• An overview of the SPARQL query language;
• An insight into the functionalities of ShowVoc;
• A live demo of the application
