
Statistics Canada is pleased to announce that it will host the 10th International Conference on the Use of R in Official Statistics – uRos2022 December 6 to 8, 2022. In partnership with the Romanian National Institute Statistics, Statistics Netherlands and Statistics Austria, this virtual scientific conference will provide a forum for researchers and analysts from across academia and national statistical offices to present their work, exchange ideas and participate in discussions and tutorials on the use of R in official statistics.
Call for abstracts and tutorials
Everyone is welcome to participate and I encourage you to submit an abstract for the conference! The session topics can be found at https://r-project.ro/conference2022.html.
Please note, three types of abstract presentation formats will be offered: a 15 minute option, a 5 minute lightning presentation or a 2-hour live tutorial. Tutorial topics must relate to the statistical production process of official statistics. To encourage contributions from people around the world, presenters can pre-record their talks.
Participants have until September 16, 2022 to submit an abstract and/or tutorial proposal to urosconf@gmail.com.
In conjunction with the conference, authors with an accepted abstract can submit a full-length paper to one of the following journals: Survey Methodology (special issue), R Journal (special section) or Romanian Statistical Review (special issue).
