ESS-MH

Target Group

The training session is aimed at Eurostat domain managers and national professionals who need to use the ESS MH to collect, transmit and / or validate metadata and quality reports.

 

Objectives

To enable participants to deepen their knowledge of the ESS MH tool so they can:

  • Compile an European or national metadata / quality report;
  • Send for validation the already completed European or national metadata / quality report;
  • Validate the European and national quality report (Eurostat users only);
  • Request the publication of the validated European and national quality report (Eurostat users only).

 

Contents

The course will cover the information and functionalities available to European and national user's and will include:

  • The purpose of the ESS MH;
  • An overview of the ESS metadata standards i.e. SIMS and ESMS structures;
  • An insight into the workflow from compilation to publication of metadata and quality reports;
  • A summary of non-essential but practical functionalities available to users;
  • Live demo example (hands-on session for Eurostat users).

 

In the case of training courses delivered in a classroom setting, it is recommended for participants to have an access to the ESS-MH before taking part in the course.
